Maddie Szeryk is clearly on the road to success: She recently claimed her first professional win on the Cactus Tour, and last year she jumped ahead in the Symetra rankings after a solo second finish in the Zimmer Biomet Championship. Now, with a DCM Power Up Bursary in hand, she’s poised to take her career even further.
“This bursary will truly make a difference in my career, which is at a critical stage,” she says. “I’m encouraged by the wonderful success this past season, but the road ahead promises to be full of challenges. Every penny earned gives me the freedom to make the right decisions so I can be at my best when opportunity knocks.”
Maddie started playing golf at the tender age of seven. “My dad brought me out one day just to hang out with him, and I really liked it. I was then enrolled in a golf camp, and I liked it even more.” Eventually she began working with a personal coach, taking the sport from personal hobby to lifelong passion.
Maddie’s main goal for the upcoming season is to stay healthy and positive—and finish in the top 10 on the Symetra Tour Money list. “I know I have what it takes to play on the LPGA Tour, and I am doing everything in my power to keep the door open long enough to see that hard work pay off.”
We’re with you all the way, Maddie—we look forward to seeing the success this season brings.
