DCM Partners with the POST Promise to Drive Confidence in Reopened Companies

As Canadian businesses rise to meet the challenges of re-opening post-COVID-19, a growing number are taking part in a program that encourages companies to practice safe hygiene and distancing.

The POST Promise—People Outside Safely Together—is a private sector-led initiative for which DCM is providing communications support. Endorsed by the Government of Canada, the POST Promise invites businesses to voluntarily commit to following five key steps in their place of business which help prevent the spread of the COVID-19. These steps include:

  1. Maintain physical distance
  2. Stay home if unwell
  3. Practice respiratory etiquette
  4. Clean and disinfect regularly
  5. Wash and sanitize hands

Businesses that make the promise can prominently display the POST Promise logo. The logo is not a certification or approval, but rather, a visual indicator to consumers that they can have confidence that a business is taking the necessary steps to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Following a competitive bid process, DCM has been selected to execute all of the program’s on-site communications. This includes printing, kitting, and distribution to participating companies across Canada. DCM is also a keen advocate of the POST Promise, having taken extensive precautions to help keep employees safe during the pandemic, and now working with many businesses to implement protocols that will help them safely re-open and operate.

The organization behind the POST Promise comprises members of groups such as The Business Council of Canada, the Retail Council of Canada, and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. Together they are “focused on creating a collective solution to help Canadians safely begin our journey back into the community”.
